Dosage & Administration
Standard Dosage (As per medical advice):
Schizophrenia & Bipolar Disorder: 2 mg to 6 mg per day
RIZIDON®-T & RIZIDON®-PLUS: Dosed as per individual tolerance
Important Guidelines:
Can be taken with or without food
Start with a low dose & increase gradually to minimize side effects
Avoid abrupt discontinuation—gradual dose reduction is required
Precautions & Warnings
May cause drowsiness, dizziness & weight gain—monitor regularly
Use with caution in elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis (increased risk of mortality)
Not recommended during pregnancy & breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor
May increase blood sugar & cholesterol levels—regular health checkups advised
Avoid alcohol & CNS depressants—may increase sedation
